Our Story

It started with a dream, a whole lot of faith, and a little red shed.

In 2020, The Red Shed Market was born right here in Chesnee, South Carolina — a mama-run shop built on the belief that every person deserves to find something truly special. What began as a boutique gift shop quickly grew into something much bigger: a gathering place for our community, a home for local artisans and vendors, and a space where people come not just to shop, but to belong.

Over the years, we've hosted vendor events, craft classes, specialty sweets pop-ups, and seasonal celebrations that have brought Upstate South Carolina together in the most beautiful ways. We've watched friendships form in our aisles, seen gifts chosen with tears in someone's eyes, and felt the warmth of a community that shows up for one another.

As we grew, so did our vision. In 2026, we took a meaningful step forward — rebranding as The Kindred Shed. The name reflects everything we've always been at heart: a place for kindred spirits. People who value authenticity, community, handcrafted quality, and the kind of shopping experience that feels personal.

The shed may have a new name, but the heart behind it is exactly the same.
